The decline of educational hypergamy in the former Yugoslav republics

This paper examines marital market preferences and opportunities, given the gender asymmetry of education limited supply equally educated partners (especially in higher segment), explores selection patterns resulting from new composite changes for at-risk populations entering into a marriage. Specifically, we are researching mixed marriages by that former Yugoslav republics. The assessment impact educational characteristics on pairing reduction level hypergamy was performed analysing movement F-index H-index values 1970 to 2020 their correlation coefficient. results showed is declining all countries decline positively associated with predominance women among highly individuals.
